Sony Ericsson F305

Sony Ericsson F305 is a first motion gaming mobile from SE.
F305 is equipped with 2″ TFT screen, 262.144 colours, with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. For mobile gaming this screen is too small, for example Nokia N95, great mobile gaming device, has 2.6″ 240×320 pixels,
F305 features stereo speakers, built-in FM radio, and Memory Stick Micro card slot, because phone memory is limited to 10 megabytes.

Merger of Android and Symbian?

Analysts J. Gold Associates is speculating that Symbian, Nokia’s mobile OS and Android, OS from Google, will merge in next three to six months.
This speculations based on fact, that reducing number of platforms will be profitable for Google and Nokia, and will help to win battle with Microsoft, a Windows Mobile producer.
It is very unlikely that Android and Symbian become one. Merge of this two platforms is difficult, moreover new open source Symbian mobiles won’t be launched till the next two years and this cause that Nokia would lose smartphone market share to OS like Android.

Samsung TL34HD

Korean manufacturer announced new digital cameras, which are expected in second-half of 2008. So there are ready to launch such models as TL34HD, TL9, SL310W and SL201.

Hasselblad H3DII-50

Kodak is going to launch first 50-megapixel camera. Hasselblad H3DII-50 will be equipped with the largest, 36-by-48mm, sensor.
This sensor captures digital images with unbelievable resolution. This big resolution caused that Hasselblad H3DII-50 is able to record one frame per second.
Moreover, image files will be about 300MB. The H3DII-50 camera features CCD cooling sink and a 3-inch display.
It will shoot at ISO ranges of 50 to 400 and use SanDisk Extreme IV and CF cards for images storage. The price is expected to be around $40,000.

Wall Street Journal reported that Android could be delayed until Q4 or even next year. That’s bed news.
Google has signed with Tele Atlas a 5 year deal - digital maps will be included on Android and other Google services.
The newest rumor said that T-Mobile is expected to launch first Android based mobile. Anyway, HTC was expected to create first Android cell phone.
Citi and South Korea’s SK Telecom are working on banking application. This project called Mobile Money Ventures (MMV), will offer mobile financial services on Android handsets.

Sony PSP phone

Sony is going to launch Playstation Portable Phone. This device will be a PSP with mobile phone features, and mobile connectivity.
The current Sony’s gaming handheld may be used as a VioP phone via Wi-Fi, but it is unable to use cellular networks.
Playstation Phone is developed by Sony alone - without Ericsson partnership, because Sony has learned from it’s error of giving Walkman brand to Sony Ericsson venture.
This device will be released on Christmas 2009.

Symbian Foundation

Openness become the most important factor in the mobile devices market. Few month after Android presentation - new powered by Google OS for smartphones, is the best time for competitors move.
First answer is from the biggest mobile phone manufacturer - Nokia, and Symbian - Nokia’s operating system. Finland based mobile phone supplier is going to make the Symbian mobile OS an open platform.
Nokia will establish a foundation to make the software free. Symbian Foundation are also participated by Sony Ericsson, Motorola Inc and NTT DoCoMo.
This venture is also a big problem for Microsoft, because Microsof Mobile has relatively high license fees, and Google and Nokia will provide full-featured mobile operating systems for free.

Also it is equipped with 3.2 megapixel camera, and 1,500 mAh lithium-polymer batery. This phone operates under Symbian OS v9.2.
It’s expected to be released on third quarter of 2008.
