Google has announced Android market, system of application distribution, for Android-powered smartphones.
The market is a place where developers can publish applications and games for Google’ OS powered devices.
This model of distribution is similar to YouTube, it’s need registration and upload of content for publishing. Users are able to download apps to their mobiles via system. Moreover they are able to comment and rate it. Content will be free and paid, depends on developers. All infrastructure will be provided by Google.

HTC Dream is real. First sign that Google Phone is not only a rumor is approval from the FCC.
Federal Communications Commission has listed the first Androi phone as “Dream” with the model number “DREA100”.
This mobile for USA market supports such technologies as GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1900, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and 1700 WCDMA.
1700 WCDMA 3G data network is used by T-Mobile for 3G service, so HTC Dream doesn’t support UMTS.
First Android powered phone is expected to go on sale in Q4 2008 and is expected to cost $399.

Sony has PSP, Nintedo has DS, so it is logically that Microsoft should offer portable gaming system.
Nothing official coming out of Microsoft headquarter but it is obvious that Redmond besed commpany wants a piece of the portable gaming pie.
Market is currently occupied by the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, there are other small participants like Nokia Ngage or Apple with games for iPhone.
Design of Xbox Portable does seem certain but it is expected to ba a some combination of the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS.

Progressive Corp. is going to offer new type of car insurance. Pay as you drive is a chance to cut costs, because costs will be based on how motorists drive.

Next interesting news is about new way of advertising - Google are working on advertising solutions for games. This solutions AdSence for Games is in testing phase. Videogame advertising is growing, Yankee group predict that gaming advertisements market will be worth $1b by 2012, so Google find it as a new niche, and it’s next search giant’s move after mobile phone expansion - an Android Platform.
Few years after Adsense, Microsoft has started offering AdCenter engine to some publishers.

Global handset market reach 297 million units in second quarter of 2008.
The biggest mobile phones supplier is Nokia, which has 41.1% market share and more than 122 million shipped mobiles.
Samsung with 15.4% share is second, Motorola, with 9.5%, holding third place, and next is LG at 9.3% and Sony Ericsson at 8.2%.
What is interesting Apple has only 0.2% of handset market.
It is interesting how high market share will reach Android Platform based devices, especially HTC handsets, in 2009.
