Holland America Line (HAL) was founded in 1873.
In 1989, Holland America Line was takeovered by Carnival Corp., the biggest cruise operator company in the world. Today Holland America Line is a premium cruise leader operates 13 ships and servises over 700,000 passengers a year.
Holland America also owns shore services, hotels, bus companies and “Half Moon Cay” - a private island in the Caribean.
