Core 2 is a Intel’s x86 64-bit microprocessors, targeted to consumer and business markets.
Whole Core 2 family is branded as a Solo (single-core), Duo (dual-core), Quad (quad-core), and Extreme (dual- or quad-core CPUs for enthusiasts) Intel processors.
Desktop processors which will be released in first part of 2008 will be will be priced - $130 - $160 for Duo, $260 - $550 for Quad, and $1400 - $1500 for Extreme. Price of mobile processors will be form $300 to $500 for Duo.
