Nintendo Wii is a cultural phenomenon more then powerful game system. Nintendo sold more then 20 milion units of Wii. Success was a result of Nintendo’s strategy.
First of all Nintendo focused on new audience like women or adults. Next good move was motion controller. This pioneer controller allows for easy, no complicated, game playing.
Player may swing the controller like a sword, tennis racket. It was a new quality of digital entertainment.
Moreover, top selling game, Wii Sports (18 mln pcs sold), was bundled with this controller. Nintendo has traced the way for a future of video games entertainment.
