Many people are traveling constantly for business, so they are looking for cheap airfares.
Airlines found out that many passengers would prefer to pay low air fare and save money instead of paying money for luxury and many extras.
Airlines decided that by cutting out many of the extra costs, airlines were able to make some savings on to the passenger and offer truly low cost air fares.
So the key to generate higher revenue are discounted airfares to passengers who need to travel few times a week, and hasn’t an extra requirement.
Some airlines like U.S. Airways, American, United, Continental, Delta start to offer low cheap air tikets.

Low cost airlines is the future becouse short flights and fast turnaround times, allows to maximize of utilization of the plane and it helps to maximize of efficiency.
